One of the most important things to me is that all my customers to have the best experience and love their purchases. Please read my shop policies below, but do get in touch if you have any questions.


 

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you wish to cancel an order please contact us via email ASAP at hello@lovepiecesofeight.com
If a commission or an order has been processed before cancellation you will incur charges for any materials, work or postage fees attached to that order or commission.

RING RESIZING

All rings are custom made to size for each order, we do not hold stock of any rings. So when ordering or purchasing a ring it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that they have chosen the correct size. We also sell ring sizing bands if you aren't sure. The customer may incur a small charge to cover the costs of resizing, remaking and any additional postage costs relating to any sizing adjustment/exchange. 

JEWELLERY CARE

We cannot be held liable for abuse, alteration or normal wear and tear of an item. Please be careful with your jewellery and when wearing your items, as some are very delicate. We provide care instructions on how to care for your jewellery on our website + within every order package and are unable to take responsibility for items damaged by not following these recommendations. Some gemstones are easily cracked or chipped when knocked and we cannot accept liability for any cracks or chips that occur after purchase. 

 

REPAIRS

We know accidents can happen - we've been there ourselves! In the event that have damaged or broken your jewellery, we offer complimentary repairs on all orders (depending on the extent of the damage and if it is possible to repair) within 30 days of purchase. Buyers are responsible for shipping item(s) back and the cost of re-delivery. Please note, if 30 days has passed or there is a great amount of work involved to repair, parts are missing or damaged beyond repair and require replacement, there will be a cost for the labour and/or to replace these materials/parts. If it appears to be a manufacturing fault, then I will repair or replace it for free. Please email me with pictures + details of the issue and I will be in touch as soon as possible with your options.

PERSONALISED PIECES
Please ensure you check the text required and that spellings are all correct as the text given on the order, will be the exact text stamped on to your item.

 


HAND STAMPING
Please note that all of my personalised pieces are hand stamped by me (with a hammer and metal stamp). Because each letter is individually hand stamped, and not machine engraved, there may be a slight impression on the opposite side of the disc from the force of the stamping. I do try my very best to make sure that each letter is centred and neatly stamped, however, they may not be perfectly straight. This is the charm of hand stamping and makes them each one of a kind and unique.

RECEIPTS

To stay environmentally friendly, paper receipts are not included in the packages, however the receipt is available online/via email. If you don't receive your email receipt, please check your “spam” folder, as occasionally emails mistakenly end up there. If it’s not there, please contact us. If you require or would prefer a paper receipt, please add a note at checkout or email me hello@lovepiecesofeight.com

FAQs

HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?

My production time for personalised/custom made jewellery is usually 3-5 business days, before shipping, however please check my home page for the current turn around time, as it may be longer during busy periods.

Depending on current order volumes, I will ship your item out as soon as I can to you - I don't like to rush orders, I want to take care and provide good quality items that my recipients will be happy to receive and excited to show off.

PRIORITY RUSH ORDERS

If you need an item and have a short timescale, do message me - I will always do my very best to accommodate but sometimes it may not be possible. It will be based on our discretion if we can create the piece in the given timeframe. Please contact us directly prior to ordering. All priority rush orders will be subject to a priority fee of £10.00. 

ARE JEWELLERY ITEMS HALLMARKED?

I only work with silver classified as "Sterling Silver". This is an alloy of silver made up of 92.5% of silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper.

In accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973, all appropriate designs + silver items weighing over 7.78g in compliance with current UK law & legislation will be hallmarked.  If the silver content of a piece of jewellery is less that 7.78g in weight - it will instead, where appropriate be marked with .925 to show that it is "Sterling Silver", which also helps keeps the cost down for you.

Should you wish to have your item that is below the 7.78g threshold hallmarked with the full hallmarks, this can be done upon request for an additional fee.  Please note that hallmarking will add to manufacturing timescales as items need to be sent away to the Birmingham Assay Office to go through the hallmarking process, before being returned to me. Also due to the costs involved in hallmarking, batches of stock will be sent to the Birmingham Assay Office throughout the year rather than individual items.  

 

If your commissioned piece is under 7.78g in weight, we can if you wish, stamp it with "925" to show that it is "Sterling Silver" and dispatch your piece of jewellery as soon as it is completed.

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS

All items are custom / handmade and all sales are final, particularly personalised/custom items. However, I want all customers to be happy with their order so if you are unhappy, please let me know.

I do try my very best to make sure that each letter is centred and neatly stamped with an even depth, however they may not be perfectly straight, aligned or of equal depth. This is not considered a defect and instead adds to the hand stamped charm & makes them each one of a kind and unique.

DO YOU DO CUSTOM OR BESPOKE PIECES?

Absolutely. These are some of my favourite orders to receive and make. I'd love to work with you on making your own very special commissioned piece. Please do get in touch, I would love to hear your ideas.

DO YOU OFFER A GIFT WRAPPING SERVICE?

II don't currently offer a Gift Wrapping service, however all items will arrive thoughtfully packaged in a beautiful branded foil embossed gift box or branded earring cards (for small studs), ready for gift giving.  More details are available on each individual listing.

DO YOU OFFER BULK/WHOLESALE ORDERS?

Yes, I will consider all wholesale orders. Bridal & Corporate Events discount / discount for large orders is available, so please do contact me for further information.​

DO YOU WORK WITH BLOGGERS OR INFLUENCERS?

Yes, we would love to collaborate with you! But it is very important that your 'brand' matches mine in terms of style and values. A great looking feed & good post engagement is also a must.
